The Air India flight fell from the sky on Thursday and killed at least 270 people in Gujarat state, officials said Saturday.

The body of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who was among the 241 passengers killed in the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, was identified on Sunday, informed Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi.

In another post on Air India’s official X handle, the airlines said, “Air India stands in solidarity with the families of the passengers who tragically lost their lives in the recent accident. Our teams on the ground are doing everything possible to extend care and support during this incredibly difficult time.
