Chicago weather: Flood Watch for parts of area through Saturday night, rounds of rain cause flooding
Funnel clouds were reported Friday morning in Illinois and there was a Flood Warning for parts of the Chicago area into the evening.
A line of fast-moving storms prompted severe thunderstorm warnings in the Chicago area and ground stops at O'Hare and Midway airports. There were also reports of storm damage.
Just 24 hours after heavy rain flooded several homes on Chicago’s West Side, more rain on Saturday afternoon made it difficult for residents to dry out their belongings.

During the day, because of the tropical air mass in place, showers and thunderstorms can form at just about any time. Fox 32 Meteorologist Mike Caplan has the forecast. A Flood Watch is in effect through the evening for most of the viewing area.
