Nearly a week after four soldiers based out of Fort Stewart disappeared in Lithuania, a woman has come forward to identify one of the four as her husband. Georgia Franco told 11Alive that she met her husband, Sgt. Edvin Franco, 25, after moving from Easley, South Carolina to Savannah. That was back in 2022.
The troops, assigned to the 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, out of Fort Stewart, Georgia, were last seen aboard an M88 recovery vehicle before it was found submerged in deep mud and water.
