2025 Atlantic hurricane season outlook: How many hurricanes will there be this year?
Last year, forecasters accurately predicted an above-average Atlantic hurricane season for 2024. The season consisted of 18 named storms, including seven tropical storms and 11 hurricanes. Beryl, Helene, Kirk, Milton, and Rafael were five major hurricanes of the season.
