Fellow actors and producers of Fox's The Resident paid tribute to series co-star Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who died of an accidental drowning at age 54.

The actor made famous by playing Theo Huxtable in "The Cosby Show" died this weekend in an accident in Costa Rica.

The 54-year-old former "Cosby Show" star died by drowning while on a family vacation, multiple outlets reported Monday.

“The Cosby Show” star Malcolm-Jamal Warner has died at 54. Warner was in Costa Rica on a family vacation and drowned while swimming near Cocles after allegedly being caught by a high current on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred between 2 and 2:30 p.m. local time.

Similarly to The Cosby Show, where Warner played Theo Huxtable, the middle child in an upper-middle-class Black family in New York in the '80s, Warner wanted to continue seeing different types of Black lives in the media — which is the intention behind Not All Hood.
