New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani traveled to Washington, D.C., Thursday to meet with President Trump, with a proposal to build more city housing on the agenda.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he and President Donald Trump had a “productive meeting” on Thursday and that he’s “looking forward to building more housing in New York City.”

The mayor went to the White House to pitch the president on a possible project in New York City that could be the biggest federal investment in housing in the last 50 years.
