After a stellar bounce-back season with the Minnesota Vikings, including a Pro Bowl selection, former USC Trojans quarterback Sam Darnold has been announced as a finalist for NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow played all 17 games this season after missing seven games in 2023 with a torn wrist ligament. He went on to lead the league in passing yards and touchdowns this season and nearly brought the Bengals to the playoffs after a 4-8 start.

New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez was named a finalist for the Associated Press’ Comeback Player of the Year Award on Thursday. He only played four games due to injury in 2023, but he bounced back in a big way in 2024.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is officially one of the five finalists for the NFL’s MVP award given on Feb. 8. Burrow is a finalist along with Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
