Texas officials have taken similar measures, as Gov. Greg Abbott confirmed this week that he will deploy the National Guard to cities throughout the state amid ongoing protests in San Antonio and Austin.

The "No Kings" protest and march happening in Philadelphia on Saturday coincides with hundreds of rallies scheduled to take place across the country.

In East Polk, two protests are scheduled. On is at U.S. 27 and Home Run Boulevard in Davenport, across the highway from the entrance to Posner Park. Another is in Poinciana, right on the Polk-Osceola County line, at the entrance to Solivita off Cypress Parkway. Both of those are from 10 a.m. to noon.
