Reddit user Badwolf61720 shared their pup's DNA results after taking the Embark test on the DoggyDNA subreddit. They were told their pup was a golden retriever when they brought him home eight years ago, and given his coloring and hair length, the breed choice does make sense.

According to the experts, a Golden Retriever, on average, will grow to a height of 21.5 to 22.5 inches (23 to 24 inches for males) and 55 to 65 pounds when fully grown (65 to 67 pounds for males). They live for about 10 to 12 years, but most of that growth spurt comes in the first year of life.
