Google is testing a major Gmail update that could finally allow users, starting in India, to change their @gmail.com addresses.
More than a billion people use Gmail. That’s about 1 in 7 people on Earth actively using this free email platform in 74 different languages. Recently, the Wall Street Journal reported some third-party developers were collecting data on Gmail users.
Google is testing out a new feature that lets users change their Gmail username without creating a new account. The update keeps all data, services and subscriptions intact while allowing a fresh @gmail.
