Google's Gemini Spark AI agent could be a game changer
Digest more
This is the second Google core update of 2026 and follows the March 2026 core update.
Google is sprucing up its Gemini models, revamping search, and enabling AI agents in everything. There are also some spiffy new smart glasses coming this fall.
Google is transforming Search from a list of links into an AI-powered experience filled with conversational answers, autonomous agents, and interactive interfaces — a shift that could further reduce traffic to publishers across the web.
The company's sweeping AI overhaul of Search could reshape how billions of people find information—and impact the publishers and businesses who depend on them.
Google is restricting the AI Pro tier with usage caps and fewer free perks after announcing it was making the AI Ultra plan more affordable.
The new AI Ultra plan runs $100 a month, while the top-tier Ultra subscription has been cut from $250 to $200. But the AI Plus and Pro plans also get benefits.
The AI agents are coming. A lot of them.
