Two British citizens detained in Iran - Man and woman held in city of Kerman on security-related charges, Iranian state media reports

DUBAI : Two British nationals, a man and a woman, are in custody in Iran’s southeastern city of Kerman on security-related charges, state media reported on Thursday. Iran’s official news agency published blurred images of the two meeting with the British ambassador but did not identify them. It was not clear when they were detained.

Two British nationals - a man and a woman - have been arrested in Iran, the Foreign Office has confirmed. News of their arrest first came from state-run media in Iran which said they were in custody in the south-eastern city of Kerman, accused of unspecified security-related offences.
