With the government shutdown continuing, concerns that travelers could face increased TSA delays at key airports are coming to reality in Houston, Newark, and New York, among other locations. Both Hobby and Bush Airports in Houston reported delays on November 2 at security checkpoints.
The city’s Office of Emergency Management said a ground stop is in effect through Friday evening at JFK International Airport because of staffing shortages in the air traffic systems. Newark Liberty International Airport and LaGuardia Airport are each facing ground delays because of staffing shortages and high winds.
