MLB’s Joint Competition Committee met Tuesday and approved the use of the Automated Ball Strike (ABS) Challenge System for next season. It was no surprise. Commissioner Rob Manfred wanted to see the implementation and, with six owners on the 11-person committee, had a majority to do it.
