Governor Laura Kelly announced on Tuesday, Sept. 17 that $300,000 has been awarded to the 12 Rural by Choice Champions (Rural Champions) for community projects.

The Rural Development Finance Corporation, which provides low-interest loans to communities with fewer than 10,000 residents, will oversee the multi-year project.
