Love is in the air with Valentine’s Day approaching, but so is the snow as it blankets communities in Michigan on Wednesday, Feb. 12. It’s estimated that there should be a four-to-six-inch snow total from Muskegon and Grand Rapids to northeast Lower Michigan,

Overnight, 3-6 inches of snow blanketed southeast Michigan making morning commutes to work Thursday treacherous and closing hundreds of schools and districts, including the Detroit Public Schools, the largest one in the state.

Southeast Michigan is now predicted to see anywhere between 5-12 inches of snow as a winter storm hits the entire Lower Peninsula.
