Chinese handset major OPPO Monday said it has appointed former Samsung India executive Tasleem Arif to head its research and development centre that will be opened in Hyderabad in the next few weeks.

NEW DELHI: Chinese handset maker Oppo said that it will soon set up its research and development (R&D) center in Hyderabad, India, and has hired Tasleem Arif as its new R&D Head and vice president.

Oppo has catered to the Indian audience with several smartphones and accessories. The Oppo F series, in particular, is a popular one in India, thanks to its attractive price tag and premium features.
