Terrorists in explosive vests have reportedly threatened Pakistan train passengers' lives if officials refuse to release imprisoned militants.

Security officials said more than 300 hostages were rescued, and the operation continued, but gave no details about the hostages killed.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has condemned a terrorist attack on a passenger train and the subsequent hostage-taking in Pakistan. Baghaei extended his sympathies to the government and people of Pakistan.
