Texas has fired men's basketball coach Rodney Terry after two-plus seasons. The Longhorns lost to Xavier in the First Four on Wednesday.

The crowd reached a crescendo when 7-foot, 270-pound reserve center John Hugley IV gave Xavier its first lead, 75-74, of the second half with a 3-pointer with 5:07 left in the game. Texas tied it 78-78 on a layup by Jayson Kent at the 2:53 mark, but the Longhorns wouldn’t make another shot from the field.
