An area of low pressure continues to move west across the Florida Panhandle as it brings rain and thunderstorms mainly south of its center, the National Hurricane Center said.
What to Expect: Regardless of development, widespread rain is expected across the Gulf Coast. Expect gusty winds, periods of heavy rainfall, and the possibility of isolated tornadoes, especially if the system moves inland and central Mississippi ends up on the storm’s eastern side.
But even with these isolated showers the heat will be the bigger story with heat indices between 102 to 107 during the afternoon hours! Now the bigger story Invest 93-L and is located over land in the Big Bend region of Florida.
We are continuing to watch the tropics as Invest 93L continues to brew in the Atlantic. The tropical disturbance is expected to cross the state of Tuesday.
