A person was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after a southwest valley crash Monday morning.

LAS VEGAS ( FOX5) — Las Vegas police are investigating a serious crash in the southwest valley Monday morning. The crash happened near the intersection of Durango Drive and Peace Way just after 7:40 a.m. Few details have been released at this time, but police said one person was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Flight 1496 was headed to Las Vegas when it received an onboard alert that another aircraft was in the vicinity, according to the FAA.

A person is dead and another was hospitalized after a "possible domestic violence-related homicide" in the southwest Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police.

A 26-year-old man is in custody after shooting his mother and sister in the southwest valley Sunday, police said.
