The company introduced an upgraded version of the DALL-E 3 model on December 18th, but many users reported that the tool's performance had declined after the update.

The new model aimed to improve user experience by doubling the speed and enhancing the quality of image creation. However, after a wave of user complaints about degraded quality on X and Reddit, Microsoft has decided to revert to last version until further improvements can be made.

This type of strategy is sometimes called a “dark pattern,” or a deceptive pattern that tricks users into doing something they did not intend. Below the Google-looking search bar, including a Google Doodle-esque cartoon, regular Bing results are displayed.
