Chloe Kitts had 15 points and nine rebounds, Tessa Johnson added 14 points and No. 5 South Carolina knocked off No. 1 Texas 64-45 to win its third straight Southeastern Conference Tournament championship and ninth title in the last 11 years under coach Dawn Staley.

Meanwhile, Texas (31-3) settled for silver in its first appearance in the league's postseason tournament. Led by Chloe Kitts' game-high 15 points, South Carolina had four players score at least 10 points on Sunday.

The Gamecocks are the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament bracketology after winning the SEC tournament and beating Texas for the 2nd time.
