The Alex Palou Show rolled through the Java House Grand Prix of Monterey and dominated the field as he led 84 of 95 laps, pushed the lead out to between 5-7s with ease and took his eighth victory of the year at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Alex Palou started from pole position and rarely gave up his lead as he sailed to his eighth win of the IndyCar Series season at the Java House Grand Prix of Monterey on Sunday in Monterey, Calif. It was the Spaniard’s third victory at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca following wins in 2022 and 2024.
Palou’s command of the sport is most evident in the season standings, where collecting the weekend’s maximum number of points, coupled with the fourth-place finish of Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward, swelled his lead to a whopping 121 points. Only three races remain.
