Adobe's new Experience Designer (XD) aims to simplify and consolidate the mash-up of design and prototyping tools currently used by most User Experience designers.

Adobe XD wins the UI/UX design tool tussle not only because of the boost it gets from integration with Creative Cloud apps, but also because of its responsive design tools.

A redesigned marketplace screen highlights editorially selected and popular add-ons, plugins, and UI kits, while a new Adobe XD Platform site offers helpful guides to XD’s JavaScript APIs.

Adobe encourages designers to use the templates and content to recreate workflows for themselves. The kit is compatible with XD CC on both macOS and Windows.

Adobe has announced that it will release its first UWP app for Windows 10 by the end of 2016. The Adobe XD design app will take full advantage of the touch- and pen-based capabilities of Windows 10.

Adobe XD has been seemingly, silently sunset by the media software company as it prepares to acquire Figma - a similar UI and UX design software.

Thanks to a collaboration between Google and Adobe, it's now possible to use the Adobe XD design tool to create UI for Flutter apps.
