Jennifer Rutland, Mrs Foreman’s mother, revealed that the family had warned the couple not to travel to Iran because of the high-risk of arrest and danger the regime poses to British citizens.

A British couple in their early 50s was arrested in Iran last month. Craig and Lindsay Foreman were on a motorcycle tour across the world and had entered the Islamic Republic from Armenia on December 30.

Lindsay and Craig Foreman, both in their 50s, were traveling the world by motorcycle. Iranian state media said two Britons were accused of “security crimes.”
