Snow showers will stick with us for most of Friday meaning some slick commutes and a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day, but the weekend will be warmer and drier.

A high wind warning was issued for the foothills and northern Colorado Thursday for wind gusts between 80 and 100 mph. Paired with high temperatures reaching 70, a red flag warning was also issued.

A storm system will bring mountain snow and a rain/snow mix to Denver and eastern plains on Friday, potentially causing travel issues.

It will be another gorgeous and unseasonably warm day, with high temperatures in the low to mid 70s across the Eastern Plains and 50s in the mountains.

The early March snowstorm finally brought some flakes into Denver, but just as quickly as the snow came, it left, and 70-degree temperatures were in the forecast again.

A storm will hit Colorado on Friday, bringing up to 14 inches of snow to the mountains and the first snow in 40 days to Denver, impacting morning commutes.
