KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A trip to a Blue Springs convenience store ended up making one Missouri Lottery player $150,000 richer. A Powerball ticket purchased at Happy Hour, located at 1801 N.W. Route 7, turned out to hold a $150,000 prize for the man.

A Missouri woman was left in disbelief after she won a huge jackpot on a scratch-off lottery ticket. The woman knew which ticket she wanted to buy when she went into the O’Fallon store, but she had no idea how much she would win, according to a Nov. 3 news release from the Missouri Lottery.

Edwin Castro of Altadena, California, who won $2.04 billion Powerball lottery Nov. 7, 2022, opted for the lump sum, which was just shy of $1 billion.

After the record-setting $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot on Sept. 6, 2025, the Saturday, Oct. 11, prize was for $244 million.
