Tech giant Apple offered a look at its upcoming new iOS 26 operating system for iPhones at its Worldwide Developers Conference on Tuesday.

The reports of a numbering scheme change were true — iOS 18 is skipping to iOS 26 — but there were a laundry list of actual usability changes shown off,

Apple has introduced Liquid Glass in its upcoming iOS 26 update. Liquid Glass provides a "see-through" visual of a glassy surface throughout iOS 26's interface. The liquid part comes into play with how the see-through visuals adapt to the screen depending on what the user is doing.
