Ellen Hughes spoke with TODAY on Tuesday.
The Hughes brothers addressed the controversy over President Donald Trump's comment about the women's hockey team.
The Devils sure could use Hughes. They sit 11 points out of a playoff spot and have a 2.4% chance to make the playoffs, according to Money Puck. Hughes missed the three games leading up to the Olympic break with a groin injury, but he’s clearly back to 100% after a strong tournament.
The Team USA forward revealed he and his brother were jumping up and down like superfans when the women's team won gold.
The Hughes brothers' mom, Ellen Hughes, is a former hockey player in her own right and serves as player development consultant for Team USA women’s ice hockey.
Quinn Hughes, who plays for the NHL hockey team Minnesota Wild, confirmed his and his brother's State of the Union appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America" today.
