The body of a Thai hostage, Nattapong Pinta, who was abducted alive during the October 7 attacks was recovered from southern Gaza in a military operation on Friday, according to a statement from the Israeli military and the Shin Bet security service.

Israel on Saturday said it had recovered the body of a Thai hostage taken into Gaza during the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023.The announcement came as fighting intensified, with Gaza health officials reporting at least 95 more Palestinians killed in the past 24 hours.

Nattapong Pinta was taken hostage and later killed by members of a small militant group in Gaza, the Israeli military said.
