Pakistan has rejected a claim by senior Iranian General Mohsen Rezaei, who said Islamabad assured Tehran it would launch nuclear retaliation if Israel used atomic weapons. Pakistan's Finance Minister Ishaq Dar dismissed the statement as false and fabricated.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday dismissed an alleged video circulating online of an Iranian official saying Pakistan will attack Israel with nuclear weapons, amid the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.

In response, Pakistan swiftly denied any such commitment. Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif took to social media platform X to refute the claim, asserting that no such promise had been made. He emphasized that Pakistan adheres to all international nuclear protocols and frameworks.
