Netflix has acquired the upcoming live-action movie adaptation of Sifu. It was announced in December 2022 that Story Kitchen had partnered with Sloclap to adapt the 2022 beat ‘em up video game Sifu into a feature film.

Netflix is moving forward with the movie adaptation of the popular video game Sifu, having recently assigned T.S. Nowlin to write the script, replacing John Wick creator Derek Kolstad. T.S. Nowlin is known for his work on the Maze Runner trilogy and more.

We learned in December 2022 that a production company had signed on to turn Sloclap's excellent martial arts game Sifu into a film. Today, the news dropped that Netflix is involved with the project, which seems to have caused some personnel shuffling behind the scenes.
