A massive show of protest swept through Northeast Ohio on Saturday, as thousands gathered for more than a dozen “No Kings” rallies, part of a nationwide day of defiance against authoritarianism and the policies of President Donald Trump.

Anti-Donald Trump protests are scheduled around the country on Saturday, but some jumped the gun early, taking to the streets with a march to Ohio's state capitol. The Columbus Dispatch uploaded a video Friday showing the anti-ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) protesters speaking out against the raids around the country.

The Republican-led plan primarily affects Ivy League universities, but the formulation would also impact one private Ohio university.

While public opinion polling in the aggregate has illustrated these trends, few polls have probed how Red State voters are reacting to Trump’s tariff policies. Once a prized bellwether state, Ohio has now voted solidly Republican in the last three elections, including a double-digit margin of victory for Trump in 2024.
