If you've been counting down the minutes to Monster Hunter Wilds' release, you might need to sit tight for just a tiny bit longer, depending on your internet speed: Capcom has noted physical edition owners will need to download a "required" day one patch before they can play.

For console players, Monster Hunter Wilds will launch at 12 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, in your region except for North America, where it’ll release across the continent at 12 a.m. EST — allowing West Coast players to catch Wilds in the late hours of Feb. 27.

Physical copies of Monster Hunter Wilds require a 15GB update to play, Capcom has said. If you’ve pre-ordered the digital version, you can download the latest update now so you’re good to go when Monster Hunter Wilds goes live on February 28,
