Scattered storms are back for Sunday afternoon, primarily between 1 and 7 p.m. Any activity eyeing the tri-state through the afternoon and evening could bring severe storms, damaging winds and flash flooding.
Isolated thunderstorms are in the forecast for Sunday, followed by increasing heat and humidity Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Additionally, the state has issued an air quality advisory for Sunday until midnight for Long Island, as well as New York City and all the way through the upper Hudson Valley.
An air quality alert will be in effect across all of Minnesota until at least 11 p.m. July 25, according to the state Pollution Control Agency.
