Cole Palmer arrived to a hero’s welcome in St. Kitts on Monday as he celebrated Chelsea 's Club World Cup final win over Paris Saint-Germain. Palmer played a starring role in New York on Sunday night, scoring twice inside the opening half hour before claiming an assist for summer signing Joao Pedro to put the tie to bed before half-time.

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer earned the Golden Ball as the top player at the Club World Cup after scoring three goals, including two in the 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

Gets you thinking, though, doesn’t it. It’s a reminder, if reminder were needed, that Chelsea are an investment opportunity to owners who don’t really actually care about anything beyond the financial success of their ‘portfolio company’.
