As Trump vows to "get Greenland," direct flights from the U.S. are starting − on his birthday. Who will visit? What kind of reception will they get?

The first direct flight from the U.S. to Greenland by an American airline has landed in the capital city of Nuuk.

Critical Metals Corp has received a letter of interest from the U.S. Export-Import Bank (EXIM) for a loan worth up to $120 million to fund the company's Tanbreez rare earths mine in Greenland, in what would be the Trump administration's first overseas investment in a mining project.

The project would have to be “well-capitalized with sufficient equity from strategic investors” to receive the loan, the letter said.
