Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. The Old Trafford side have been battling Newcastle United for the 22-year-old striker, with both teams submitting offers. Newcastle initially tabled €75million plus €5m in add-ons, before raising that on Monday to at least €80m.

As it stands, United have bid €75million (£65.3m) plus €10m (£8.7m) in add-ons but the offer falls short of RB Leipzig's valuation. Newcastle improved their bid to table a higher package to the Bundesliga outfit, however his preference is to move to the North West over the North East.
