Vice President JD Vance said he still believes the administration can broker peace between Ukraine and Russia, despite the seeming lack of progress since President Donald Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin this month in Alaska in an effort to push for an end to the war.

"A combat unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine was shot down by air defence systems near the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant," the press service said in a statement on the Telegram messaging app.
