Jan 17, 2025 · Until Copilot can be completely removed and outlook will go back to using my choice of browser I am going to use non-microsoft email software and browser. I really hope Microsoft will very soon 100% the use of any browser I choose and let me choose if and when, if ever I choose to or not use any MS app or competing app, including Copilot

Nov 28, 2023 · I added the registry key (in HKCU) to a Windows 11 Pro 23H2 VM, then restarted. After logging in, I was still able to launch CoPilot in Edge, and have CoPilot write a joke. So, the registry key does not disable CoPilot, certainly not in Edge.

However, the new Copilot doesn't do that at all, which means it can easily plagiarize or hallucinate information, which can be both misleading and even dangerous.
