Irek proudly represents the residents of Windsor-Tecumseh in Parliament. Previously, Irek served as a Windsor City Councillor for six years and worked at a regional accelerator helping Windsor-Essex innovate, grow technology companies and support young people on their career paths

Irek was elected to Parliament in 2019 to represent the residents of Windsor-Tecumseh and, shortly thereafter, he was appointed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to serve as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion.
