Flu seasons in Nevada are consequently defined as beginning in the 40th week of a given year (usually in early October) and ending in the 20th week of the following year (usually in late May).

All Nevadans are strongly encouraged to get a flu vaccine by the end of October. It will also be important that everyone continues to wear masks, stay 6 feet apart, wash hands regularly, cover coughs, and stay home when sick to protect yourself and others from both flu and COVID-19.
