Earth's new quasi-moon, named 2025 PN7, is a small near-Earth asteroid that moves around the Sun almost in step with our planet, taking roughly the same amount of time to complete one orbit - about a year. This synchronized path makes it appear to loop around Earth from our perspective, giving it the nickname "quasi-moon."
