Celebrating a jaw-some birthday! 🐊🎂 This month, we wished both of our Chinese alligators a happy birthday! Bonnie turned 45, and Jeff turned 29 this summer. Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium keepers treated this pair to birthday cakes made of crocodilian pellets and gelatin and decorated with crayfish, shrimp and squid. The cake was larger than the alligators’ typical food, making this a great opportunity to exercise their brains. Guests even came out to be part of the festivities and sang happy
