In China, the rare neurodegenerative disease ALS has gained prominence and better understanding through the commitment of a determined couple: former tech executive Cai Lei and his wife, Duan Rui. Together, they’ve brought new hope for treating the disease by establishing the world’s largest ALS patient research data platform, pushing forward more than 40 drug pipelines into clinical trials.
