An iconic species I had dreamed of seeing my entire life. My first encounter underwater with these marine iguanas endemic to the Galápagos Islands is a moment I will treasure forever. Seeing a new species for the first time is always powerful to me, and I was so excited to see these guys that I actually started crying seeing them swimming underwater.
