On January 13, at approximately 11 PM, Sumter County Deputies and Wildwood Police Department Officers spotted an individual driving with a suspended license. The deputy attempted a traffic stop in the area of US Hwy 301/Main St. within Wildwood City Limits however, the driver began traveling at a high rate of speed, and in a reckless manor south bound on Main St. The deputy disengaged his attempt at the traffic stop due to public safety concerns. On September 8, 2021, at approximately 4:24 PM Sumter County Deputies responded to an address on CR 707 in Webster, Florida, in reference to a domestic disturbance. A male suspect, Byron Jackson, was observed engaging in physical violence with a pregnant female victim.
