The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has a mission to commemorate those who fought, and died, for their country in the effort for peace. However, today we celebrate the remarkable achievements of one of our own, as she reaches a milestone in her career. On the 31st of May 1945, Avro Lancaster PA474 rolled off the production line at Vickers Armstrong’s factory in Broughton, Cheshire, now the location of one of Airbus’ factories.
