Last Friday, medical personnel in the Merced County Main Jail notified our Corrections Bureau that an incarcerated person was showing signs of a possible Mumps infection. It has been confirmed that the individual did test positive for Mumps. The infected incarcerated person was isolated when symptoms began and has remained quarantined.
